Making refrigerated cookie dough in the air fryer could not be easier! The cookies come out soft and chewy with the perfect crisp edge and gooey center. Not to mention they’re quick and don’t require an oven!
(Optional) Roll the cookie dough pieces into balls and flatten them into ⅓” thick discs. This is optional because the cookies will bake just fine in their square shape but if you want perfectly round cookies, you’ll want to roll them into balls.
Line the bottom of your air fryer with parchment paper and place a few pieces of cookie dough on the parchment. Make sure to place the cookie dough at least 1.5” inches apart as it will spread when it bakes.
Air fry the cookies at 330ºF/165ºC for 7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crisp on the edges. Allow the cookies to sit in the air fryer for 5 minutes to fully set and then remove them to a wire rack.
Repeat steps 1-2 with the remaining cookie dough. Be careful – the air fryer basket will be hot!
Notes
To make the “mini” cookies in the air fryer, follow the same directions but reduce the cook time to 5 minutes.
For a salty-sweet treat, try sprinkling your cookies with a pinch of flakey sea salt when they come out of the air fryer.
You can always add your favorite treats to store bought cookies. Simply press chopped nuts, M&Ms or more chocolate chips into the top of the cookie dough before baking.
Lining your air fryer basket with parchment paper before placing the cookie dough balls inside makes cleanup much easier and helps prevent the cookies from sticking to the basket.
Storage: Store any leftover cookies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
