Unroll the can of pizza dough. With kitchen shears or a knife, cut the pizza dough into four equal rectangles.
Place a rectangle on parchment paper, and using a pastry brush, cover with melted butter.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Stir well with a spoon or whisk until well mixed, and no lumps remain.
Sprinkle the mixture over the butter, and then pat down with your hands. (I learned this by trial and error. I didn’t pat it down the first time, and I could hear the sugar/cinnamon mixture blowing everywhere inside the Air Fryer. Patting it down on the next batch ensured the majority stuck to the dough)
Cook for 7-9 minutes at 375℉/190C in an Air Fryer. (no preheating needed, if your unit preheats lessen the time). Remove from the Air Fryer and let cool.
While the Cinnamon Sticks are cooling, prepare the icing by adding the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and 4 tbsp of heavy whipping cream to a medium bowl. Mix well with a small whisk, until smooth. If your consistency is too thick add 1-2 additional tbsp of heavy cream, until you get a slightly thinner, and more spreadable consistency.
Once the Cinnamon Sticks have cooled, slice into 5 sticks, approximately 1” wide each.
Using the whisk or a spoon, drizzle the icing back and forth over the Cinnamon Sticks. Let set for about 1-2 minutes to let the icing stiffen just a bit. Repeat steps for the remaining dough to make 20 sticks total.
I used Pillsbury Pizza Dough from the refrigerated section, and it was perfect for this recipe.
The Cinnamon Sticks can be kept in the refrigerator for up to one week. Just reheat in the microwave before serving.
I like to let the sticks cool down a bit before adding the icing, otherwise the icing melts too quickly onto the sticks.
If your family is like mine, you may want to make additional icing for dipping.
