Add the honey and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Stir to combine.
Brush the honey mixture onto the oranges. You may not need all of the honey, but you can save it to drizzle on later.
Place the oranges in the air fryer basket with the flesh facing up.
Air fry at 400°F/200°C for 5-8 minutes, until the oranges are starting to brown and the flesh is hot.
Serve immediately.

Notes
Cook for an extra two minutes if you'd like more browning on the fruit. I like my fried oranges to be just heated through and starting to turn brown on the edges.
Navel oranges are easy to find, but you can also air fry blood oranges or Cara Cara oranges in this way.
This works with grapefruit too! Roasted grapefruit can be made in the air fryer using this recipe, but you'll need to add a few minutes to get it heated through.
I don't suggest leaving out the honey (or other sweetener) in this recipe, as the sugar is what helps the oranges caramelize so wonderfully.
Serve these fried oranges over ice cream for dessert, on their own as a snack, or with a scoop of greek yogurt and a sprinkle of granola for breakfast.
Pro Tip: This recipe can be made in the air fryer unit with a basket or the air fryer oven. If you are using the air fryer oven, use the middle rack and select the "Air Fry" function.
Pro Tip: Check your food as it cooks. Each air fryer runs a bit differently. Sometimes air frying is a trial and error process. Check your food as it cooks to learn your air fryer better! When cooking a new recipe or food items be sure to check your food often to help avoid over/under cooking.
