AIR FRYER FROZEN BURRITO RECIPE
As with many frozen foods in the air fryer, there really isn't a recipe, but there is a method that I'll share with you that makes frozen burritos in the air fryer perfect every time.
Microwaved frozen burritos often come out gummy and overcooked. Air Fryer frozen burritos are lightly crispy, hot in the center, and much more enjoyable.
Frozen snacks are so convenient to make in the air fryer. Try Frozen Egg Rolls and Frozen Mini Corn Dogs this way too.
You can use this method to make any brand or flavor of frozen burritos that you love! The great part about buying frozen burritos is that there are so many choices. Vegetarian frozen burritos, meaty frozen burritos, and even locally made frozen burritos can be found at your local grocery store!

WHAT TO SERVE WITH AIR FRYER FROZEN BURRITOS
Enjoy these on their own as a snack or a quick meal. Add a salad or some veggies to make your meal a bit more nutritious and filling. A little bit of sour cream and salsa for dipping takes frozen burritos to the next level!
HOW LONG DO YOU COOK FROZEN BURRITOS IN THE AIR FRYER?
I've found that these take about 15 minutes in my Cosori air fryer. Different brands of burrito and different air fryers may cause your cook time to be a bit less or a bit more than that. Always keep an eye on your frozen food in the air fryer and adjust the cook time as needed.
SHOULD I THAW FROZEN BURRITOS BEFORE AIR FRYING?
I don't suggest thawing frozen burritos before cooking. The filling may start to leak out as it thaws. Cooking frozen burritos from frozen is pretty simple and the few minutes that it takes is worth the wait.
CAN I REHEAT BURRITOS IN THE AIR FRYER?
If you've already cooked your burritos but they've gotten cold and you need to reheat them, the air fryer is a perfect option. Heat cooked burritos at 350F for about 5 minutes or until they are warm again.
WHY IS THE AIR FRYER BETTER THAN THE MICROWAVE FOR MAKING FROZEN BURRITOS?
You may be wondering, if it only takes 2 minutes to cook a these in the microwave, why should you spend the time to cook a burrito in an air fryer?
I promise, the extra time is worth it! You can see in the photos that air frying these burritos makes them a little bit crispy on the outside, and the filling is warmed all the way through.
Microwaved frozen burritos are often over or under-cooked, with hot or cold spots inside. Microwaving also makes for a chewy outer tortilla which is not ideal in my opinion.
Using the air fryer is just as easy as using the microwave, if not easier. My kids love heating up their own burritos for lunch in the air fryer.
