Pizza bagels in the air fryer come out way better than the ones made in the microwave. They take just 6 minutes to cook to crispy perfection. Then, they’re ready to be devoured for lunch or an after-school snack!
Your kiddos will love frozen bagel bites made in the air fryer. You can serve them as a snack, or alongside mac and cheese, fruit skewers, or fresh veggies.

“These taste amazing in the air fryer. I won’t make them any other way now!”
What is a bagel bite? It’s a kid-favorite pizza bagel frozen snack that takes just a few minutes to make in the air fryer. The most well known pizza bagels are Ore Ida brand bagel bites; they come in both the Three Cheese flavor and the Cheese and Pepperoni flavor. Both are super easy to make as pizza bagels in the air fryer!
Why You’ll Love Pizza Bagels Air Fryer
- They’re MUCH better in the air fryer. You can microwave pizza bagel bites, but they come out unevenly cooked and a little squishy. But pizza bagels in the air fryer? They come out perfectly crispy and sooooo much better.
- No-effort, easy-peasy snack / lunch option. This is hardly a recipe: you take them out of the box, pop them in the air fryer, and that’s it. When you don’t have time to cook lunch for your kids, these pizza bagels in air fryer will save the day.

Recipe Tips & Tricks
- Add a little extra cheese. Some of those poor pizza bagel bites come out of the box pretty sad looking. Add a bit of shredded mozzarella cheese, some tiny chopped bell peppers, oregano, or fresh pesto to liven up this frozen snack.
- Do not put the cooking tray in the air fryer. The Ore Ida bagel bites come with a square crisping tray. This is for microwave use only. If you put it in your air fryer, it will burn.
How to Store Pizza Bagel Bites
I would not recommend storing pizza bagels cooked in the air fryer for later. These are meant to be enjoyed at the moment! The box comes with a lot of bagel bites, just make however many you’ll eat for lunch or for your snack, then keep the rest frozen for next time.
What to Serve with Frozen Bagel Bites in the Air Fryer
You can serve pizza bagel bites as an after-school snack or a game-day appetizer. They can also become a great lunch meal alongside some quick and easy mac and cheese, fruit skewers, or veggies.
I like to slice up some carrots, celery, and bell peppers and serve them with the air fryer pizza bagels alongside ranch dipping sauce. Everything gets dipped in ranch, and everyone’s happy.

Did you preheat your air fryer? The one in the pictures is the same one I have, so I’m curious. Preheat, or just go 6 minutes at suggested temp from cold fryer?
Hi Kellie 🙂 I did not preheat. Give it a go and if you want them a bit crispier I would preheat and lessen the time by a minute 🙂 But I like it without the preheat 🙂
