Are Shishito peppers hot?

These little green peppers are actually quite mild.

When they are cooking up in the air fryer, they give off a smell similar to a jalapeno, but the taste is much milder.

Shishito Peppers are on the low end of the heat scale, so to speak. They say roughly 1 in 10 peppers is spicy.

I was super excited to try these because Iโ€™ve had them as an appetizer at a local restaurant. So I picked them up at my store when I saw them when I was shopping. I was thrilled to see your recipe today on how to air fry these. We made them as an afternoon snack and they were absolutely delicious. We dip them in soy sauce.

These sound so fantastic! I love peppers in any size, shape, the mild ones, AND the spicy ones! These shishito ones I have seen so many times lately. Now I feel I really need to pick them up – along with an air fryer haha. I am missing out on so many levels.
