Air Fryer Spiced Apples are a delicious sweet dessert your entire family will love. Cinnamon, raisins, maple syrup and pecans come together to make this mouthwatering dessert.
This is a super easy dessert the entire family can get behind.
I would venture to bet your family will even help you make this so they have first dibs on the air fryer spiced apples!
I used to make a similar recipe in the microwave as a kid. It came from a "kids microwave" cookbook.
I thought that I was pretty big stuff making it all on my own as a kid.

HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER SPICED APPLES
- First, start by washing the apples and removing all the stickers.
- Then slice the apples in half, remove the cores. Put the apple halves into the air fryer basket or air fryer tray.
- Carefully, spoon the liquid mixture into the center of the cored apples.
- Then air fryer the apples at 325F/162C for 18 minutes.
- While apples are cooking combine the pecans, raisins and melted coconut oil.
- At the 18 minute mark open, the air fryer and top the spiced apples with the pecan mixture. Air Fry another 2 minutes. Enjoy!
As with any recipe, you need to check on the items you are cooking in the last minutes.
The cook time can vary greatly with the size of the apples.
Keep an eye on the spiced apples, they may be done cooking earlier!
SPICED APPLE TIPS
Nut Allergy? This recipe is very easy to adapt.
You can simply leave the pecans out or you can sub in some seeds such as pumpkin seeds.
What Spices Go with Apples? There are a variety of spices that pair well with apples: cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg top my list!
This recipe highlights cinnamon!
Skins or no skins - this is completely up to you! I don't mine how the skins turn out with this recipe but my husband does not like the texture.
If you are a texture sensitive person, you can peel the apples ahead of time, however the apples might not hold their shape well.
Microwave - If you do not want to use your air fryer, you can cook these in the microwave.
Simply swap in the microwave for the air fryer in step 4. Cook for 5 minutes, add toppings and cook 30 more seconds.
Apple Type - Any type of apple should work for this recipe. So go ahead and pick your favorite apple!
Reheating - This air fryer spiced apple recipe will reheat. I find it is best eaten the day of or the day after it is made.
Pro Tips
- Use Any Air Fryer: This recipe can be made in an air fryer unit with a basket or an air fryer oven. If you're using an air fryer oven, place your food on the middle rack and select the "air fry" function.
- Check your food as it cooks! Since each air fryer runs differently, sometimes air frying is a trial and error process. When cooking a new recipe, be sure to check on your food often. This will help you avoid over or undercooking, and help you learn your air fryer's specific ways!
