Why you’ll love these!

I love to order appetizers like this when I go out for dinner, but donโ€™t always love all the extra oil that is attached to them! When I had the idea to make this recipe in the air fryer, I honestly did not know how it was going to turn out, but boy am I glad that I did!

These healthier bites of deliciousness are exactly how you would find them in a fancy restaurant, and at a fraction of the cost! You could even use leftover mashed potato if you have some hanging around – just like in my Air Fryer Potato Pancakes recipe. A perfectly easy side dish that is tasty and versatile!

List of Ingredients

Ingredients required for Air Fryer Cheesy Potato Balls
  • Boiled potatoes – You can’t have cheesy potato balls without spuds!
  • Rice flour
  • Garlic powder – Unlike raw garlic, garlic powder has a sweeter taste. It truly makes any recipe better!
  • Chilli flakes – Perfect for popping a little heat and flavor into your dish!
  • Salt – Just a touch!
  • Black pepper powder – I love black pepper because it adds as much to the smell as it does to the taste!
  • Dried mixed Italian herbs – Italian herbs go so well with many dishes.
  • Mozzarella cheese – Shredded mozzarella cheese is the best! It gets melty and delicious.
  • Cornflour – mixed with water to create a paste, this helps the breadcrumbs stick to the mixture.
  • Panko bread crumbs – Panko is perfect for air fryer recipes because these crumbs are extra crispy.
  • Oil – Just a little for spraying!

what to serve with these

Air Fryer Cheesy Potato Balls go with anything! Try some with Air Fryer Tuna Steaks, or Air Fryer Cube Steak. There really isnโ€™t anything I can think of that would not benefit from this side dish!

Storing Leftovers

You can simply store them in an airtight container for 3 days in the fridge, or freeze for up to 3 months!
