Ingredients In Air Fryer Pork Steak

Pork Steaks: I’m using bone-in pork shoulder blade steaks but this recipe would also be delicious with bone-in pork chops!

Olive Oil: Olive oil creates a paste so the spices stick to the pork. Feel free to use your favorite neutral cooking oil.

Spice Rub: We’re creating a homemade spice rub for the pork with salt and pepper (to season), garlic powder and onion powder (to add a bit of earthiness), paprika (for warmth), and sage and rosemary (for herbaceousness). Feel free to use 1 tablespoon of your favorite meat spice rub if you prefer.

Butter: Butter helps add a bit more flavor and moisture to the pork.

Tips And Tricks For Making Air Fryer Pork Steak

  • Both boneless and bone-in pork steaks work great in this recipe. Bone-in cuts of meat have a more intensified flavor overall but may require a slightly longer cooking time. This recipe uses bone-in pork steaks so the additional cooking time is already added in.
  • You can prep your thawed pork steaks the night before by seasoning the steaks and allowing them to sit in an airtight container overnight. Let the steaks come to room temperature and proceed to air fry when ready to use.
  • Use a meat thermometer to read the internal temperature of your cooked pork. The temperature of cooked pork should be 145ÂşF/63ÂşC at a minimum, but if you prefer well-done pork, you can cook it up to 160ÂşF/71ÂşC.
