Air fryer french toast overview

I can not begin to describe just how good this Air Fryer French Toast is! I think it’s even better than what you’d get at most local breakfast spots.

Plus, it’s less mess and hassle than using a griddle or frying pan!

Maybe wash it down with a comforting Oak Milk Latte without that coffee shop price tag!

We also have lots of breakfast/brunch-style ideas! If a savory dish is more to your liking, try these Air Fryer Breakfast Potatoes!

List of ingredients

Vertical photo of ingredients required to make air fryer french toast. French bread loaf, milk, eggs and spices
  • French bread – I find that bread at least one day old works better!
  • Large eggs – The egg & milk combined with the spices is what gives the bread the delicious flavor!
  • Milk – Acts as a binder with the eggs to coat the bread before air-frying!
  • Brown sugar – A bit of sugar goes a long way!
  • Cinnamon – The warming, sweet notes of cinnamon work perfectly with the other ingredients!
  • Vanilla – Just a little vanilla brings the dish together!

what to serve with French Toast

One of our absolute favorite coffee shop “copycat” recipes is this Air Fryer Starbucks Cream Cheese Danish! It has everything (and more, in our humble opinion!) that the original has, but without the need to leave the house!

How about another (non-air fryer) copycat? Dirty Chai Latte is another Starbucks recipe that has been adapted for being made at home!

Another delicious breakfast idea is Frozen Waffles In Air Fryer! Simply pop them in the air fryer, and they are done in just 5 minutes! Magic!

Storing leftovers

This French Toast will keep for up to 5 days in the fridge – perfect if you are a nibbler!

Or, you can freeze it for up to two months! Start by placing a sheet of wax paper between each slice of French toast. Wrap the French toast stack tightly in aluminum foil or place it inside a heavy-duty freezer bag.

Reheating leftover

Simply remove from the freezer and use the air fryer or oven to bring your Air Fryer French Toast back to life! Air frying for 2-3 minutes at 375ºF/190ºC should do the trick.

French Toast tips

Pro Tip: This recipe can be made in the air fryer unit with a basket or the air fryer oven. If you are using the air fryer oven, use the middle rack and select the “Air Fry” function.

Pro Tip: Check your food as it cooks. Each air fryer runs a bit differently. Sometimes airfrying is a trial-and-error process. Check your food as it cooks to learn your air fryer better!  When cooking a new recipe or food items be sure to check your food often to help avoid over/under cooking.
