What you’ll need

  • 3 red plums – The star of our recipe
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar – The caramel flavor of brown sugar is delicious in this recipe
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger – Using powdered ginger saves a couple of steps, making this air fryer recipe quick and easy!
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon – Your favorite brand of ground cinnamon is perfect.
  • Salt to taste – A little salt can help to balance the sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup – This adds sweetness and also works as a bind to keep the spices together.

How to make air fryer plums

  1. Cut the plums in half and remove the pits. Set aside
  2. Combine the sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and syrup together. Set aside.
  3. Baste the tops and sides of the plums with the mixture.
  4. Place plums inside the air fryer. 
  5. Air fry at 350ºF/176ºC and cook for about 12 minutes. Take a peak in after 10 minutes, and check the glaze. You will see it bubble. Don’t overcook. 
  6. Take out and serve immediately.

Serving ideas

You can eat these plums by themselves or cut them up and top them on pancakes, ice cream, or your preference.

Storing or freezing leftovers

Your plums can safely remain in the fridge for 2-3 days!

As we have used maple syrup in this recipe, the plums certainly can frozen for up to 12 months!
