What You’ll Need

A white bowl containing the ingredients for sticky ginger tofu marinade. Coconut aminos/soy sauce, minced garlic and diced ginger
  • A block of firm or extra-firm tofu – I like to buy extra-firm tofu. It’s soft on the inside, but the firmness of the tofu allows it to hold its shape while frying.
  • Soy sauce or coconut aminos  – Coconut aminos is a soy-free alternative to soy sauce that makes for a tasty marinade, adding that umami flavor that makes these tofu cubes so delectable.
  • Minced garlic – Garlic goes so well with…well, anything! And adds tons of savory flavor.
  • Diced ginger – You can’t have Sticky Ginger Tofu without the ginger!

Making ahead of time?

This is a dish that is ideal for meal prep and can be made in advance. Once you have your tofu and ingredients in the baggie, it can sit marinating until you are ready to use it!

Storing leftovers

Sticky Ginger Tofu can be frozen for up to three months! In fact, some readers say that freezing makes the tofu taste even better, as it has even longer to soak in the dressing!
