How to Make It

Note: Depending on the size of your turkey breast, you may need to adjust the time. Always check your temperature before you slice!

  1. Rub oil onto the turkey breast and sprinkle both sides with spices.
  2. Put the turkey in the air fryer basket. I use parchment paper under the turkey to make cleanup easier!
  3. Cook for about 40 minutes at 360°F or 182°C, flipping turkey breasts halfway through cooking. Make sure your turkey is at least 165°F!
  4. Rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving!

Can I cook a frozen turkey breast in the air fryer?

Unfortunately, a frozen turkey breast doesn’t do well in the air fryer.

Because it cooks so fast, it would be very overcooked and dry — not ideal!

If you have a frozen turkey breast, thaw it overnight in the refrigerator before air frying.

Allow 24 hours of thaw time in a 40°F fridge for every five pounds of turkey.

What size air fryer do I need to cook a turkey?

To cook a 3-pound turkey breast, like in this recipe, you need at least a 3-quart air fryer.

When you place your turkey in the basket you space everything out as much as possible, aiming for nothing touching.

This will help with even cooking as well as getting the outside brown and crispy!

    1. Hi Elizabeth! I think it comes down to a personal preference, but I do not brine it when I cook it in the air fryer because it cooks a bit quicker. I do brine when I oven roast 🙂

    1. Yes, It can. I haven’t personally tried it but members in our air fryer group have talked about it. I would start at 350F 20 minutes, turn over and cook for about 30 to 40 minutes or until the internal temperature is 160F It may vary based upon the size of the turkey breast but it gives you a starting point 🙂 Let is rest 10 minutes before carving.
