Recipe Tips & Tricks
- Use boneless pork chops. Using boneless pork chops is easier and faster. The pork chops I used in this recipe are about 3/4 inch thick and worked like a charm. You can cook thicker chops or bone-in pork chops, in your air fryer, but you just may need to add a few minutes of extra cooking time.
- Don’t forget to preheat your air fryer. For this unbreaded pork chops recipe, preheat your air fryer for about 5 minutes. Preheating isn’t always necessary, but it is helpful for this recipe.
- Let your pork chops rest after cooking. Like steaks and chicken, pork chops should rest after cooking. This lets the juices redistribute inside the meat and keeps them from running out when you slice into it.
How to Store Air Fryer Pork Chops
Save any leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge. Refrigerated air fryer pork chops will last 3-4 days. To heat them up, just put them back in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes on each side.
What to Serve with Air Fryer Pork Chops
These air fryer pork chops are the perfect base for a simple dinner with minimal prep and no marinade time. Add any of your favorite air fryer side dishes, and you’re good to go!
The beauty of pork is that it goes well with so many healthy vegetables. Try pairing unbreaded pork chops with Brussels Sprouts, Butternut Squash, Green Beans, Balsamic Mushrooms, Asparagus, or even Acorn Squash.
Growing up, we would always have pork chops with white rice, a vegetable, and homemade sweet rolls—that will always be my go-to combination. You can also try a potato side dish, like mashed potatoes, Air Fryer Potato Wedges, or even Air Fryer Sweet Potato Casserole.

Frequently Asked Questions
A tough air fryer pork chop is often an overcooked pork chop. Pork chops—like most meats—continue to cook for a few minutes after you take them off the heat. Pork needs to reach an internal temperature of at least 145°F, so I usually pull mine from the heat at about 142°F and let the resting do the rest of the work.
The air fryer cooks pork chops quickly, so there’s not really time for large bits of fat to render down. For this recipe, I suggest trimming off most of the extra fat before cooking. Thanks to the homemade spice blend, the lean pork chops will still be super flavorful, even with less fat.
Yes, you should let the pork chops rest for up to 5 minutes. Simply set them on a plate or cutting board so they can reabsorb all the yummy juices.

I have made these twice and both times I can’t remember if I set the setting on air fryer or bake. The first time they were perfect . The second time a little tough. Please help
They were small boneless chops
Hello. I would use the air fryer setting 🙂 If they are smaller, you may need to reduce the time. I’d check them about midway through and adjust/shorten time if needed 🙂
