This air fryer acorn squash is simply delicious. You will be surprised at how quickly and perfectly acorn squash cooks in the air fryer!
We have been enjoying the swing of cooler air that is moving in and all the fall produce it brings with it.
Acorn Squash is one of my fall favorites!
Fall makes me think of comfort food and why not make it all in your air fryer?

HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER ACORN SQUASH
- Wash the acorn squash to remove any dirt.
- With a sharp knife, cut the acorn squash in half.
- Use a spoon to remove the seeds from the squash.
- Place the squash halves into the air fryer basket. Please note that you may only be able to fit one in at a time with some air fryers. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon and butter.
- Air Fry the squash halves for 20-25 minutes at 400F/204C.
Air Fryer Acorn Squash Tips:
Be sure to check the squash during the last few minutes. Cook time will vary depending on the size of the squash. Keep on the lookout, your squash may cook faster!
If you have a specific type of flavoring you like you can swap out the spices I used. Make this recipe your own.
You can also use this recipe to make mashed acorn squash to use in another recipe.
This squash recipe reheats well.

Air Fryer Acorn Squash
Ingredients
- 1 acorn squash
- 2 T butter dairy or dairy-free (melted)
- 2 T brown sugar
- 1/2 t cinnamon
Instructions
- Wash the acorn squash to remove any dirt. With a sharp knife, cut the acorn squash in half. Use a spoon to remove the seeds from the squash.

- In a small bowl add the brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Stir to combine, then spilt the mixture into the acorn squash halves.
- Air Fry the squash halves for 20-25 minutes at 400F/204C.
